In this year’s report, Variety describes the group as “entertainment litigators who go all in for their clients.”
KHIKS’ profile in the 2026 issue highlighted several of the team’s most significant litigation matters, including Shawn, Patti, and Kristen’s collaboration in the representation of the estate of MLB player Tyler Skaggs in a wrongful death suit; Greg and Patti’s successful defense of New Republic Pictures in a contractual dispute with its former president; and Nick and Aaron’s representation of “Fear the Walking Dead” co-creator Dave Erickson in his profit participation lawsuit against AMC.
When interviewed on the firm’s numerous successes over the past year, Shawn told Variety, “When my family says, ‘I haven’t seen you in the news in a while,’ I say, ‘That means I’m doing a very good job.’”
