The Daily Journal Highlights Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir’s Promising Future in Exclusive Profile

Nearly two decades after the firm’s inception in 2006, the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal analyzed Kinsella Holley’s storied legacy in a feature highlighting the new wave of talent at the firm. The article, titled “Kinsella Holley’s encore: Building on a legacy of high-stakes entertainment battles,” delves into the firm’s growth amid the cultivation of the next generation of talent.

“What we’ve seen emerging from the firm is the next generation, who are doing fantastic,” Larry tells the Daily Journal. “I’m as excited about the firm now as I was in 2006 when we first started it.”

Nick Soltman expands on Larry’s sentiment, explaining that he takes pride in the firm’s ability to successfully litigate against some of the largest law firms in the country.

“If there’s a big firm, that’s who I’m litigating against,” Nick says. “And they will have teams that are five times – literally five times – the size of our team, and we go toe-to-toe with them often in nine-figure cases. But that’s really hard to do at our size unless you have an extremely deep knowledge of the area, and you have the litigation chops to fight out-manned against the best firms in the city and in the country.”

Shawn Holley adds that as the firm’s scope has grown, her own practice has shifted away from primarily criminal cases, often resolving disputes for her high-profile clients through mediation if possible.

“It’s not just doing the legal work,” Shawn explains of her multifaceted legal practice. “It’s often handholding, strategizing, and my favorite thing is to be able to resolve something by showing whoever it is – be it opposing counsel, be it a mediator, be it a judge – why justice demands the thing I’m proposing.”

Jonathan Steinsapir expresses excitement over the firm’s transition to the next generation of younger attorneys who are now shaping the practice.

“Not only have we survived that transition, but it’s exciting that it’s now our firm,” he concluded. “I would say it’s more the second generation’s firm now.”
