The firm is pleased to announce that Partners Larry Iser, Patricia Millett, Kristen Spanier, Chad Fitzgerald, Michael Kump, Shawn Holley, and Jonathan Steinsapir have been selected for inclusion in Variety’s coveted “Legal Impact Report” for 2025. The annual list profiles the entertainment industry’s most influential attorneys, including agency, in-house counsel, transactional and litigation. The firm’s profile in the 2025 issue highlighted several of the team’s recent wins and litigation experience.
Larry, Patti, Kristen, and Chad were recognized for their victory on behalf of toy giant and longtime client Mattel in Herrick Productions LLC v. Mattel Inc. et al., which alleged that Mattel stole an idea for a TV show called “The Toy Box.”
“Hollywood is beset with idea submission claims, but this is a result other studios can point to,” Larry tells Variety.
Variety also highlighted Michael, Shawn, and Jonathan’s work in defamation and sexual assault cases for clients including Evan Rachel Wood, Shia LaBeouf, Trevor Bauer, and the late George Foreman.
“We handled a defamation case in Florida for Meghan Markle against her older half-sister on her father’s side,” Jonathan shared as his “biggest win” of the year. “We won the final ruling last year and the case was thrown out, although it’s now on appeal.”
