KHIKS Obtains $200M Settlement for Frank Darabont/CAA in ‘Walking Dead’ Dispute

In an outstanding victory for its clients, the firm recently negotiated a $200,000,000 settlement for “The Walking Dead” television show creator Frank Darabont and his agency CAA in their long-running, highly publicized profit participation suit against AMC. The legal battle, which began as a single lawsuit filed in 2013, surrounded allegations that Darabont and CAA were owed millions in profits for the runaway hit and has been the most followed vertical integration dispute in recent years. The nine-figure settlement, one of the largest ever in Hollywood, successfully resolves all litigation and provides for future revenue sharing related to certain streaming exhibition of “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead.” Darabont and CAA were represented by Dale Kinsella, Chad Fitzgerald, Aaron Liskin, and Nicholas Soltman.

Select coverage of the settlement can be found below.
