KHIKS partner Shawn Holley was the keynote speaker at the orientation for first-year students at Southwestern Law School, urging the future attorneys to “find your passion in the law.” As an alumna of Southwestern, Shawn shared some of her own experiences from her time at the campus, and zoomed in on an especially surprising episode during the first meeting of her very first class.
She talked about interviewing with law firms and government offices at the end of her second year and how the advice of some of the professors and administrators who knew her sent her in an entirely different direction than she had planned—something she has never regretted.
