Nick Soltman was recently featured in Front Office Sports’ article “Magnus Carlsen, Chess.com File to Dismiss $100M Suit,” which also appeared in the publication’s morning newsletter. The article explained the defense launched by chess champion Magnus Carlsen and Chess.com against Hans Niemann’s $100 million defamation lawsuit.
Niemann recently filed a lawsuit against Carlsen and Chess.com after the two accused the player of cheating, alleging it was a conspiracy to end his career. Attorneys from both parties filed a motion to drop these charges. Nick explained that the defendants have little to fear, saying, “The only real significant risk in my mind is that you’re gonna have to spend time and money defending this.”
