Larry Iser’s representation of musicians against politicians is the subject of an article in Thomson Reuters’ Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine entitled “Won’t Back Down: When politicians pick campaign songs, songwriters pick Lawrence Iser.” The article follows Larry’s pioneering representation of iconic music artists in copyright infringement cases against politicians, which notably includes the case of Jackson Browne v. McCain. According to Larry, that case was the first time a music artist ever filed a lawsuit against a politician for using a song without permission in their campaign.
