The firm is pleased to announce that LA Times Studios has named KHIKS partners Larry Iser and Nick Soltman as “Entertainment Business Visionaries” for 2025. Each year, the list spotlights trusted off-camera advisors in the industry — the lawyers, accountants, business managers, wealth advisors, and other experts — who “ensure that the show will go on smoothly and successfully.”
In Larry’s profile for the list, LA Times Studios highlighted the landmark full defense verdict he and his team secured for Mattel in 2024 in a $31 million idea theft suit over ABC show “The Toy Box.” Larry was also honored for his recent victories on behalf of Kinetic Content in disputes surrounding its hit shows “Love is Blind” and “Married at First Sight,” as well as his distinguished reputation for resolving disputes in the music industry.
Nick was recognized on the list for being a go-to advocate for Hollywood A-listers, particularly in claims involving profit participation disputes and defamation. In his profile, LA Times Studios cited his successful represntation of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in a defamation action filed by her half-sister, as well as current representation of Roddenberry Entertainment in state court litigation over the long-lost USS Enterprise model that belonged to the creator of the iconic “Star Trek” series, Gene Roddenberry.
