The firm is pleased to announce that Larry Iser and Jon Steinsapir have both been selected for inclusion in Billboard’s prestigious “Top Music Lawyers” list for 2022. Each year, the list profiles a limited number of top music attorneys whose work in licensing, lobbying and litigating have a major impact on the industry. In this year’s report, Billboard covers the firm’s representation of the Estate of Michael Jackson; artists such as Jackson Browne, David Byrne, Cardi B, Offset, Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, French Montana, Trey Songz, and Lana Del Rey; and companies including Del Records, Roland, Saban Music Group, and Third Side Music. Billboard also covered Larry’s representation of producers Justin Raisen, Jeremiah Raisen and Yves Rothman in a recently settled suit against Lizzo over the hit song “Truth Hurts.”
In addition to their clients and achievements over the past year, Billboard asked honorees about their top concerns for the music business. According to Larry, the most pressing issue is, “the dominance of Ticketmaster in the primary and secondary ticketing services market” as the touring business returns.
