KHIKS attorneys Dale Kinsella and Nick Soltman have filed a lawsuit on behalf of Oscar-nominated screenwriter and producer Anthony McCarten over the smash hit “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The suit claims that McCarten, the screenwriter, was deprived of his share of the profits on the film by producer Graham King. In 2015, King (through his production company) agreed to give McCarten a set of box office bonuses, along with 5 percent of King’s company’s backend. Instead, King laid the project off to Fox, which substituted its profits definition, according to which a $50 million movie that did over $1 billion at the worldwide box office is over $50 million in deficit.
