KHIKS partner Jeremiah Reynolds, representing Paranormal Activity writer-director Oren Peli, prevailed in arbitration over a “kill fee” provision in Millennium Films’ three-month option agreement with Peli. Millennium had refused to pay the $500,000 fee, which was triggered when negotiations to sign Peli as director for a movie called Eliza Graves broke down. The movie was eventually released under the name Stonehearst Asylum with another director.
