The firm recently obtained a $179 million arbitration award, the second largest in television industry history, after successfully representing the executive producer of the hit television series Bones in an arbitration against 20th Century Fox Television, the Fox network and affiliated companies. The decision concluded that 20th Century Fox Television cheated the plaintiff out of his share of profits from the show, and that network executives threatened to cancel the series if he did not accept a lower licensing fee from Fox.
“This is a tremendous victory for the Bones profit participants who created and starred in the longest-running drama series to air on the Fox network,” said Dale Kinsella of the award. “Fox’s fraudulent conduct toward the series’ creators and stars, perpetrated over many years, has finally been brought to light, and Fox has been held accountable for its actions.”
