Jon Steinsapir’s representation of art collectors who paid half a million dollars for three pieces of undelivered artwork was covered in Sarah Cascone’s Art.com article “A Collector Couple Is Suing Dealer Philippe Hoerle-Guggenheim for ‘Despicable’ Failure to Deliver Paid-For Art.” The suit is seeking the return of the couple’s money plus 10 percent interest and “damages sufficient to punish Mr. Hoerle-Guggenheim for his despicable, malicious and fraudulent conduct, and to deter him from engaging in such conduct in the future.”
