Jon Steinsapir was recently quoted in Daniel Miller’s Los Angeles Times article “When is an Original Tommy’s burger not an original? When it’s one of these 67 look-alikes.” In this article, which details the legal environment surrounding copycat restaurants of Original Tommy’s World Famous Hamburgers, Jon comments on the possibility of legal action. According to Jon, starting a legal battle to become the only Tommy’s in Los Angeles would “cost too much money.”
“And I mean, part of the Tommy’s story is that there are so many ripoffs,” he added. “At least people from L.A. know that.”
