Starting with the Estate of Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and Walking Dead creator Frank Darabont, the list of KHIKS clients reads like a Who’s Who of Hollywood. When Two and a Half Men co-creator Chuck Lorre was sued for $100 million by series star Charlie Sheen, Lorre turned to KHIKS for help.
Co-founder Howard Weitzman boiled it down to the essence of lawyering when he said he believes the firm’s success is simply its ability to resolve problems. “A lot of the clients we represent are pretty high profile and can afford fees, but they want it done in the most practical and quickest way. Sometimes bigger firms require more staffing, and more time by the attorneys to get to a certain spot. We can do a lot of that quicker and in a more favorable way.”
